Sayonara Japon, Part 2

**Please Pray for my mom, she had to go the Emergency room on Tue as she was feeling pain on her hands and legs. She is better now but the doctors need to do more tests to confirm if it has to do with her "Remumatology Arthritis". **

"Jesus will help you when in his name you call." As i prepare to go back to Singapore i feel a little sad that i will be leaving some people here. But the Lord shall provide for all, especially the children ministry over here. I have to believe that. It has been so enriching teaching the girls, having the women ministry and attend bible study fellowship over here. I hope that i will continue to learn God`s word and grow. His pace, His timing.

Need more faith and wisdom in my life and David`s too.

See you soon my dear friends in Sing. Can`t wait!

Sayonara Japon , Part 1

Day 1 , After a sleepless night we finally arrived at Takayama, but it would take another couple of hours before we reach the village that looks like Kyoto and our hotel.

Takayama

Delicious Lunch on the way to Takayama

They are famous for their tender beef

Totemo Oishii
Feels like Kyoto

Our favorite shop!
I still do not know what this is? The straw from the houses?Goodbye market

Day 2, Kamikochi, the most beautiful scenery i have ever seen in Japan. The 3km hike to the half point was worth it!

This was taken after we got off the bus at the start point of our hike.

Heading towards Kamikochi bridge

David`s geographic shot ;pfinally the bridge

Shirakawago, Houses made from straw from the edo period. 100s of years ago. Its a natural heritage site. My mom in law said it reminded her of "Attap house"-the asian version , usually found at kampung (village) ages long ago. Only bigger. ;)

Under the roof, the strawsEvery 50 years they renovate.
An original home, turned into a cafe. The cafe is 33years.

Day 3, Matsumoto Castle. I really could not climb the castle as the stairs were quite far apart.

Finally sometime to rest..phew...
